Open the bonnet and remove the transmission rod. Clean the end of the wand with a cloth. Reinsert the rod to the loading neck and remove it again. Check the oil level at the end of the rod. The oil level should be between the upper and lower marks on the end of the rod. If not, load the transmission through the loading neck (using a funnel) with oil until the level is between the upper and lower marks on the rod.
Start the engine and move the vehicle to neutral. Hear sounds of blows as he changes. If the transmission makes noises when changes are made, and the oil level is between the upper and lower marks on the rod, you may either have the engine mount loose or the transmission mount loose. Slowly raise the foot of the brake, but do not step on the accelerator. The vehicle should crawl forward. If it does not, there is a problem in the torque converter. Pace the accelerator. If the vehicle bends or falters, there may be a problem and the torque converter will not lock properly. Pace the accelerator. If your vehicle begins to move but leaves the shift, this will indicate that the clutch in the torque converter has clearance or that there are damaged gears or cogs. You may need a new torque converter, a new transmission or new transmission gears.
